Comment - Similar to the highlight mode it can be used to highlight a section of text, automatically bringing up an annotation box for you to input your comments.Both the color and size of the text can be adjusted as needed to fit even the most finicky of PDF forms. Text- This tool allows you to place text boxes anywhere in their document, perfect for filling in forms.This is done so that a document can have both underlines, strikethroughs and highlights all on the same text and still edit and remove each individually. An important note regarding the Strikethrough and Underline tool is that you need to hover the mouse over the line itself to bring up the tool bar, rather than hovering over the text that is underlined.Strikethrough- most useful for those editing or proofreading a document, as you can clearly show which sections need to be gotten rid of and could even use a text box tool to show what words should replace it.You can also attach comments to each highlighted, strikethrough or underlined area. Highlight- This tool allows you to highlight text throughout a PDF.Like any other Google Classroom assignment, when they're ready, they can just click TURN IN. The document in their folder is now the filled-in pdf. When the student is finished working in the pdf document, they should save it one more time, and then they can head back to Google Classroom. Kami is a Google Chrome Extension that allows students to write, draw, type, and annotate any document, including PDFs Students can access assignments right from Google Classroom and choose to Open with Kami to add annotations to their work. If they do not, they will end up returning the original blank document instead of the copy with all their answers in it. But it is crucial for submitting the finished work to the teacher in Google Classroom. This only needs to be done once per document. The student must first click >→ Move, and then maneuver to the appropriate folder. Within those folders are the files (Google Docs, pdfs, etc.) for each GC Assignment. In each student's Google Drive, there is a folder called "Classroom." Within that folder are folders for each of their classes. ![]() (They could move it after they're done and before they're ready to submit their assignment, but I think in the long run it's easier to train them to do it from the start every time.) They are concerned about converting their documents from Word or other text editors (especially some of the Judaics teachers who cling tenaciously to Davka Writer). Several teachers have asked me about making the switch to Google Docs.
